It’s Official — Blog Advertising Lives
There was a time last year when it wasn’t exactly clear whether blog advertising was going to be accepted in the mainstream market. But after 2 years of operation, IZEA (formerly known as PayPerPost) is still around and going strong with over 100,000 bloggers in their network. IZEA changed their name to reflect their growing services base. Not just PayPerPost, the blog advertising marketplace, any longer, IZEA includes several service platforms including RSS Brief, Blog in Space, and the Blogger’s Choice Awards, IZEA has recently released a revolutionary social marketing network named SocialSpark. It’s a social network driven by bloggers and advertisers where the advertising is 100% transparent, 100% disclosed, and 100% real including Google-friendly No-Follow tags on all links.
IZEA is becoming to blog advertising as what Google is to search advertising. I wouldn’t be surprised if Google was secretly in negotiations to acquire the two year old IZEA and all its web properties. Blogs are still going strong and have solidified their place on the Internet as a legitimate information and discussion forum. As blogs are here to stay, blog advertising is going to only grow as marketers and advertisers seek to gain more exposure on more channels.
