The Power of Giving
It’s that time of year again — The Alzheimer’s Association is holding their annual Memory Walk to raise awareness and funds for this crippling disease. The Alzheimer’s Memory Walk is a series of local events, held in over 600 cities nationwide. You can join this great cause by heading up a local team or joining an existing one.
Why give your time to this event? Well if you’re like me, your life has been affected by this disease. Chances are that either a family relative or someone in a close friend’s family you know has been diagnosed or died from Alzheimer’s Disease. Its unfortunately more common than we’d all like. For me its a grandparent who is battling the early onset of this disease now and it really makes you want to give whatever you can to fight it.
Check out the Alzheimer’s Association’s Memory Walk Website and learn more about how you can participate in this year’s event near you. Lead a team — it doesn’t take so much effort. Just get organized and see just how much of a difference you can make. I guaranty it will be something you’ll want to do every year to come!
